CES 2018: Most Impressive Health Technology Innovations

The Consumer Electronics Show was held In Las Vegas amidst much fanfare. The smartest cars, the fastest hard drives, the thinnest TVs and the weirdest gadgets in the most unexpected market niches were all to be seen at the annual event. While the digital health technology flooded CES 2018, let’s look at some of the most impressive digital health technologies that were at display.

Omron’s blood pressure smartwatch

Omron, a Japanese tech company introduced Omron Heartguide blood pressure smartwatch at the CES. The gadget has the potential to end the outdated blood pressure cuffs and traditional measurement. Currently undergoing clinical tests, it allows users to take a medical-grade measurement, which syncs with Omron’s phone app and could also be programmed to take night readings to test for hypertension and risk of stroke while sleeping.

Nokia Sleep

Nokia Sleep is a sleep monitor under the mattress. However, it can turn off the lights and lower the temperature in the room in order for you to fall asleep easier apart from performing all the tasks of a good sleep monitor: tracks sleep patterns, sleep duration or the quality of your bedtime.

Colgate’s Smart Toothbrush

The toothpaste giant’s app-enabled smart toothbrush has an artificial intelligence support to make the most out of oral hygiene. The AI learns more through usage, adjusting to the user’s habits and providing improved brushing tips.

Oticon’s HearingFitness app

A giant hearing solutions manufacturer, Oticon unveiled its award-winning app HearingFitness that is designed to measure the impact of someone’s hearing on their health. Winner of the CES Innovation Award in the software and mobile apps category. HealthFitness gives advice and encouragement to help users hear better and stay healthy.
