A group of doctors in Chandigarh, recently, launched a unique concept called SPEAK that is Society for Promotion of Ethical and Affordable Healthcare  and a website that will not only educate residents but also discuss their problems at PHD Chambers on Sunday.

The website will enable doctors opinion just a click away while educating residents on healthy lifestyle, prevention of disease and promotion of ethical and affordable healthcare. This website was launched by Chandigarh mayor Poonam Sharma.

Dr R Kumar, convener, SPEAK, and administrator of the website, said, “SPEAK and its website are the brainchild of a core group of doctors who will work for protecting, preserving and restoring the pristine glory of the medical profession. “The website is a movement that focuses on bringing medical ethics to the fore while highlighting the good work being done by doctors. We do not intend to criticize any particular doctor or interfere in the treatment. The site is purely educational and is your family friend and not intended to replace the family doctor,” he added.
