- Medical camp conducted separate tests for adults and kids

Taking another step to make this world a better place, and part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, Epygen one of the leading privately held biotechnology companies in India and Spandan Foundation, a non-profit socio-cultural organisation, organised a free medical check-up camp on the Ashtami Day (Thursday) 28th September, to provide free healthcare support to the attendees of the event especially children and senior citizens. The medical camp was organised at Powai Sharadotsav, a celebration of Durga Puja and Navrati festival at Hiranandani Garden, Powai in Mumbai. More than 200 people attended the event and benefited from this noble initiative.
A team of two doctors namely Dr. Anshudeep Dodake and Dr. Shubhangi Mahajan rendered their services in the camp. Adult Patients underwent basic health checkups including Vitals, BMI, BP, Random Blood Sugar, Haemoglobin while children underwent health checkups like Oral/Dental inspection for infections, Common cold and cough, Worm Infestation investigation, Skin Infection, Heart sounds checked for murmur etc. in addition to height and weight.
Mr. Debayan Ghosh, President and Founder of Epygen said “Spandan Foundation has taken up the cause of orphan children this year at the Powai Sharadotsav.Orphaned children are greatly in need of care and protection and Epygen aims to empower them by delivering services for this noble cause. Epygen will continue to support CSR initiatives that have a positive impact on society, as our primary objective is to promote healthy living and save lives.”

We have associated with reputed NGO’s working with Orphan children and provided financial and other assistance to NGO’s working with orphan children. Members of Spandan Foundation will sponsor orphan children which is the true reflection of the festival with a purpose.”
Orphan children from reputed NGO were invited to the inaugural programme and children from other Orphanage performed as a part of the cultural line up. Several NGO’s spoke on orphan care at the event.
